From 6th until 13th of August, 2020, Futuro Digitale had the pleasure to welcome in Terranova da Sibari, South Italy, 16 youth workers coming from Spain, Estonia, Bulgaria and Italy.
The training activities aimed to provide youth workers new tools and knowledge on NEETs which could possibly operate as the main catalyst in empowering NEETs and accelerate the further development of new programmes that foster active involvement and employability of NEETs in the society.
Moreover, during the training event participants had the chance to discuss in details the e-learning courses elaborated by the consortium, available in MOODLE platform, as well as gave their feedback on the quality of the online materials.
The training programme was prepared taking in consideration the outcome of the Comparison State of Art of youth workers and NEETs report, which identified the current situation that youth workers face in their everyday practice while working with NEETs group. Thanks to this research, the project team was able to define the concrete gaps related to the project topic in terms of skills, knowledge and competences for equipping youth workers and educators.
At the end of the training, youth workers received their Youthpass certificates as well as were invited to share their new knowledge within their NGOs and local communities once they come back in their countries of origin.
